iPad vs. HP Slate - Who Will Win the War?

Apple iPad HP Slate

The Apple iPad will undoubtedly be compared to every single tablet to come out in the future (thus this website: iPad vs. HP Slate). People will always be comparing it just as they are always comparing new touch screen phones to the iPhone. When Nokia released its 5800 Xpress Music phone, people immediately started calling it the iPhone killer. The minute HP showcased its latest slate/tablet, the battle was on.

Personally, I'm not of an Apple fan, but Ipad Accessories HP hasn't got it quite right yet either. The problem with both these tablets and the ones to come is that they are unpractical. Where are you going to use them? If you're at home, a laptop or desktop flowers by post would be much more comfortable. If you're waiting for the bus, you don't want to be holding something that big just to check your email. Besides, where would you put it? (Not everyone has a backpack on you know.) The only place I can imagine using this IKEA Furniture would be on the plane, on a long road trip, or while in a coffee shop. Worth $500? Not for me. I would rather get the N900. It can fit in my pocket. Anyways, our issue here is to compare the Apple iPad and the HP Slate from an unbiased point of view. Let's go. water damage cleanup

Display: The iPad has a 4:3 9.7 inch LCD display with a 1024x768 resolution. Check the latest health tips for 2010 The HP Slate will have a 10 inch screen yet the resolution is still to be known. Those .3" won't make much of a difference, but if the HP Slate has a 16:9 view Dotties Weight Loss then that would be a big deal. Most people will probably want to watch movies on their tablets, and almost all temp car insurance movies show best in the 16:9 ratio. Winner: HP Slate (if it has a 16:9 display)

Operating System: The iPad comes with the popular iPhone operating system, whereas the HP Slate will come with Windows 7 and possible Google's Android in the future. The iTunes app store has over 100,000 apps and games Goedkoop Mobiel Abonnement combined, but Windows 7 can install window blinds san diego virtually any application that should work on your laptop. I've got no idea why Apple didn't put the Mac operating system, seems like a step back to me. Video Wars (Sorry, I'll try stop being biased.) Winner: HP Slate

Camera: The HP Slate has one, the iPad doesn't. Don't expect to take award winning photos with it though, the best you'll get is a clear image when chatting to your grandma with Skype. Winner: HP Slate

Multitouch: Both these devices will support multitouch, pretty cool in my opinion. Winner: Tie

Storage: The iPad will come in three different flavours: 16 GB, 32 GB, and 64 GB. HP still hasn't said how much storage its slate will have, but it will probably be something similar to the iPad. Though the iPad will also have place to put an optional SD dongle so you can store more lolcatz pics. Winner: iPad

Connection: Both these devices have wi-fi and bluetooth, but the iPad also has 3G which will come at an attractive price. Winner: iPad

Flash Support: Sorry, but you won't be able to play your favorite Miniclip games on the iPad, though you can play as much of them on the HP Slate. Winner: HP Slate

Verdict: The HP Slate is the clear Winner. Yes, I am biased towards it, but the facts still prove me right. Obviously the Apple fanboys will still buy the iPad even if HP was giving away their tablet for free. Winner: HP Slate.
